Pattern - Maile

[tabblock]
[tab1: Maile is a classic DK weight vest pattern featuring an effective yet simple broken rib pattern and striped neck and arm bands. This vest is perfect for everyday use and lends itself to both vintage and non-vintage outfits alike.

Maile is knitted from the bottom up in flat pieces and then sewn together.

Maile is knitted using [productlink: Susan Crawford Excelana North DK weight = excelana-dk :productlink] a delightful double knit weight yarn, which is soft to wear, but has sufficient structure to really show off the broken rib pattern. The striped bands are in striking contrast shades for maximum impact.

Maile is shown here in two colourways:
Colourway One uses shades [productlink: Trefusis = excelana-north-dk-trefusis :productlink], [productlink: Limestone = excelana-north-dk-limestone :productlink] and [productlink: Red Granite = excelana-north-dk-red-granite :productlink] and is shown in the photographs modelled by Charlie, wearing the fourth size (Short langth) - to fit chest size 86cm (34in).

Colourway Two uses shades [productlink: Cornflower = excelana-north-dk-cornflower :productlink], [productlink: Alabaster = excelana-north-dk-alabaster :productlink] and [productlink: Saharan Sand = excelana-north-dk-saharan-sand :productlink] and is modelled by Denis, who is wearing the sixth size (Long length) in the photographs, which is to fit chest size 97cm (38in).

The pattern includes instructions for 18 sizes to fit chest measurements 71cm (28in) to 157cm (62in) and contains clear written instructions plus a comprehensive schematic diagram and sizing chart. :tab1]
